When you are interacting with AI
Handspring assistants use generative AI to answer questions from sources selected by the organization that operates the assistant. The interface identifies the experience as AI-powered and can show supporting sources when available.
How responses are produced
A question and relevant excerpts from the organization’s knowledge sources are sent to an AI model, currently through Amazon Bedrock. The model generates a response from that context and recent conversation history. A citation means the source was supplied as context; it does not guarantee every statement is correct.
Limitations
AI can misunderstand a question, omit information, or produce incorrect or outdated statements. Do not rely on a response as a substitute for qualified legal, medical, financial, safety, or other professional advice. Verify important information with the organization or linked primary source.
Human help and feedback
Organizations can enable a human follow-up path. Avoid submitting sensitive personal information unless the organization specifically requests it through an appropriate channel. Report concerning output to the organization or contact@handspring.ai.
