Overview
This notice explains how Handspring AI collects, uses, and protects information when you visit handspring.ai, contact us, or use a Handspring service. Product-specific notices may provide additional details where appropriate.
Information we collect
We may receive information you provide directly, such as your name, email address, organization, support requests, chatbot instructions, uploaded documents, website content, and conversations you choose to process through a Handspring service. We also collect account, usage, device, log, and security information needed to operate and protect the service.
How we use information
We use information to provide and support our services, respond to requests, protect accounts, measure performance, improve the experience, meet legal obligations, and communicate about relevant service updates.
AI and customer content
Customer content is processed to provide the features the customer requests, including retrieval and AI-generated responses. Our current production architecture uses Amazon Web Services, including Amazon Bedrock models. We do not use customer content to train our own general-purpose models, and we do not claim ownership of customer content.
Service providers
We may use carefully selected infrastructure, communications, analytics, security, and payment providers. They may process information only as needed to provide their services to Handspring and subject to applicable agreements. We do not sell personal information.
Retention and security
Knowledge sources and account configuration are retained while an account is active and until an owner deletes them. Human follow-up requests are ordinarily retained for 30 days, and short-lived rate-limit records for no more than 2 days. Security, billing, deletion, and aggregate operational records may be retained longer where reasonably needed for fraud prevention, legal obligations, or service integrity. Owners can export or permanently delete workspace data from the product. Backups and logs, where applicable, expire on their normal lifecycle.
International processing and children
Information may be processed in the United States and other locations where our providers operate. Handspring is intended for organizations and is not directed to children under 13. Customers should not knowingly submit children’s personal information without an appropriate lawful basis and safeguards.
Your choices
Depending on your location and relationship with Handspring, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or restriction of certain personal information. Contact us to make a request.
